Third party processors we use to process your personal data:
Any third parties we use are outlined further down in this policy, providing clear information who has access to your data for the purpose it was intended for. We have strict agreements in place with all our third party processors in order to safeguard your data.
We use a third-party database provider, Salesforce to store and manage most our personally identifiable information. Salesforce meet some of the highest accreditations available for technical and organisational data security. This means that your data is kept safely under lock and key. For more information, please see the Salesforce privacy notice.
We are also phasing out a legacy database provider Donor Perfect. The provider also meets excellent data security standards. Donors that have been donating for more than a year may have some donation data stored on this system also. You can see Donor Perfect’s privacy notice here.
We use a third-party service, Pantheon, to host our website and store much of the personal information that this site collects. This service meets the ISO27001 standard for data security, keeping your data safe. You can view the Pantheon privacy notice here.
We use a third-party provider, ActiveCampaign, to deliver our email updates and promotions and other digital marketing. If you an email subscriber ActiveCampaign will track your browsing activity on our website to help us send communications that are more relevant to you. You can find out more here on the ActiveCampaign privacy notice.
We will only send you digital content that you have consented to receive or is directly related to a product or service to you have purchased or subscribed to, or a donation you have made.

We may also use your email address to send you messages and promotions we think you might like through social media services such as Facebook, Instagram and the Facebook Audience Network.
At CBN we don’t want to send you generic communications. We want to send you tailored messages and promotions that we think you will be interested in. To do this, our website uses two Tracking Pixels. One for Facebook and another for ActiveCampaign. These are small pieces of code on our website that tell us what pages on our website you have visited and logs actions that you may have taken, such as making a purchase through our store or signing up for our email list. We can then use this information to send you relevant communications at the right time.
To find out more about what information is collected by the Facebook Pixel and how it is used see the Facebook Data Policy. To opt-out, log into Facebook and go to www.facebook.com/ads/preferences. If you are not on Facebook you can block third party cookies in your browser settings. For more information read the documentation for your website browsers settings.
The ActiveCampaign pixel only records any website actions if you are an email subscriber. To opt-out of the ActiveCampaign Tracking Pixel you can unsubscribe from our email list by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our marketing emails.

We may also use information about people who have requested a publication to carry out a survey to find out if they are happy with the level of service they received.
When people do subscribe to our services, they can cancel their subscription at any time (unless it has been expressed otherwise) and are given an easy way of doing this.
We will retain your data for as long as you are donor with us or have purchased or are subscribed to one of our products or services, or have given us your consent to do so, or there is a contractual or legal obligation to do so, or where a legitimate interest exists.
